The Call to Reconcile, Restore & Rebuild
Inspired by Isaiah 58:12, we are called to “Rebuild the Ancient Ruins.” To be “Repairers of The Breach,” and “Restorers of Streets to Dwell In.”We don’t just visit those in prison; we build a bridge that leads them into biblically-grounded, Spirit-led communities where they are celebrated instead of tolerated. Our mission is to ensure every returning citizen is equipped to live as a full member of the Body of Christ.
Our Ministry Pillars & What We Do

Church Partnership & Education
Preparing local congregations to authentically welcome and disciple returning citizens through specialized training.

Bridge-Walking Discipleship
Providing dedicated mentors who walk alongside inmates from the day of release into a life of calling, community, and service to God and others.

Kingdom Citizenship & Dignity
Empowering individuals to move beyond their past, finding true belonging and identity in a Spirit-filled family who celebrates them and what God has done.
Real Stories of Restoration
"The idea of finding my first community as I was approaching my release date was full of a lot of thoughts and emotions. I was led to Garden City Church where I was immediately received, celebrated, and supported. I was given the opportunity to participate in a leadership program and can say I currently serve in volunteer leadership in the church. I have received such restoration from the hands of the Church since I have been released. I am a living testimony of the necessity of the Church in the lives of individuals post incarceration."
Steven Cummins, Formerly Incarcerated
"The church is the community that represents God’s family. Every man and woman coming out of incarceration deserves to know they are loved and welcomed into God’s family through the power of the gospel!"
Gerald Murphy, Pastor at Garden City Church
"While many find faith behind bars, the sudden loss of support upon release often leaves that transformation vulnerable. 5812 Ministries provides the vital bridge between willing churches and returning citizens, ensuring every individual finds a safe community where they truly belong. By fostering this connection, we don't just change lives—we rebuild families and restore the very foundations of our community."
Dwight Miller, Kairos Prison Ministry
